Endorsement Program

Current Endorsements:
Trekking for the Troops

The Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health reviews and endorses activities which promote physical fitness and health throughout the state of Missouri. Endorsement by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health lends an increased level of credibility to events and may increase participation. Once the endorsement has been awarded, the Governor's Council logo may be used on all promotional materials and reference to the endorsement is encouraged when speaking to the public and the media.

The endorsement process is simple. Please refer to the Endorsement Criteria Information below and compare your event(s) with the Governor's Council mission. If your activity is consistent with the mission and the three stated criteria, simply contact us for approval. A letter indicating the sponsor for the event, the date, its purpose and/or goals, intended participants, etc. is all we need to review the program. We will respond in a timely manner to your request. When approval is granted, a letter of endorsement will be sent along with a print ready logo for use on your materials. In some instances certificates of participation are also available.

The Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health is committed to improving the fitness and health of all Missourians. We are most appreciative of all individuals and organizations who are working toward these same goals and commend you for your interest. All endorsements are reported at the Governor's Council meetings thus adding exposure for your organization and the endorsed events. Please consider contacting us for your next activities.

ENDORSEMENT CRITERIA INFORMATION

May 1997

The following standardized criteria allows the executive director of the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health to endorse events, projects and organizations in lieu of sending the request to committee for approval.

  1. Only endorsements shall be made that are consistent with the mission of the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health. (See Home Page)
  2. Endorsements shall not be made to benefit proprietary purposes. (Example: The Council would not endorse a particular product for sale.)
  3. The Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health will endorse activities or programs of private and/or for-profit companies so long as they are within the mission of the organization and consistent with this document.
